Their hearts burned within them while Jesus taught them the scriptures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God&#8217;s word revealed to us burns in our hearts. That is, God&#8217;s word stirs up our hearts through Christ\u2019s presence and truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We become spiritually sensitive and alive when God&#8217;s word is exposed to us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">God&#8217;s word in us stirs our hearts with energy and passion for obedience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The word of God burned in Jeremiah\u2019s heart, and he had no option but to obey it (Jer 20:9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When our hearts are set on fire by the word of God, we become passionate and obedient to it. We have energy and strength to do what it says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While a cold heart would be insensitive to God&#8217;s word, a heart that is on fire would easily obey God&#8217;s word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">May our hearts be on fire for the Lord.
