Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”
Beloved, your tongue is small, but it carries tremendous power. God did not say death and life are in the power of your hands — He said they are in your tongue.
From the beginning, in the Book of Genesis 1, God created the world by speaking.
Words create realities. and because we are made in His image, our words also shape atmospheres.
Your tongue can:
Build or destroy
Heal or wound
Bless or curse
Release faith or spread fear
Many battles we fight are reinforced by what we keep saying.
When you constantly declare defeat, weakness, and failure, you empower them. But when you align your words with God’s promises, you activate life.
The tongue is a spiritual instrument. It programs your heart, influences your future, and affects those around you.
A negative confession can imprison you, but a faith-filled declaration can unlock doors.
Speak life over your children.
Speak life over your health.
Speak life over your destiny.
Today, make a decision that I will not use my mouth to sabotage my future.
I will speak what God says — not what fear says.
Because the power is not just in your situation.
The power is in your tongue.
Prophetic Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus,
I consecrate my tongue to You today.
Let every negative word I have spoken be silenced by Your mercy.
Where I have spoken fear, I now declare faith.
Where I have spoken defeat, I now declare victory.
Lord, put a guard over my mouth and align my words with Your will. As You spoke light into darkness in Genesis 1, let my words begin to create light in every dark area of my life.
I declare life over my family.
I declare life over my purpose.
I declare life over my future.
From today, my tongue will produce blessing, not bondage. in Jesus’ name, Amen.
