Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1
When we are justified through faith in Jesus Christ, we have peace with God.
Our relationship with God is fully restored, and the hostility between a holy God and sinful humanity is completely removed.
Through this restored relationship, we are freed from all condemnation.
The peace we have with God permeates every area of our lives.
When we are at peace with God, we can experience peace within us and also around us.
Whatever happens to us or around us, God’s peace within us becomes the solid rock on which we stand.
This is because we cannot enjoy lasting peace when we are not at peace with God. Any sense of peace within our hearts would only be an illusion if we do not have peace with Him.
Once the penalty of sin is removed through faith in Jesus Christ, we can enjoy the peace that comes from a restored relationship with God.
The storms of life may rage around us, but when we are at peace with God, His peace – which surpasses all human understanding – guards our hearts even in the midst of the storm.
Peace with God brings peace within. Shalom.
